Oeko Tex
® Safe fabrics for healthy living

Most people today are concerned about how the products they use on a daily basis can affect their own health and that of the environment.

One way to do that is to wear apparel and furnish our homes with textiles that are free from harmful chemicals.

The Oeko-Tex® Association, a group of European textile institutes, is a global testing and accreditation program for the screening of harmful substances in consumer textiles, with the strictest standards in the world. Companies may become Oeko-Tex certified after their products have undergone extensive testing to be sure they're free from more than 300 harmful substances, including toxins and irritants. Once certified, these companies are licensed to use the registered Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 label on their products.

Since its inception in 1992, Oeko-Tex has come to be recognized as the leader in eco-labeling, with over 36,000 certificates issued to more than 5,000 manufacturers and over 1 million licensed products. In the U.S., Cuddledown is one of Oeko Tex' oldest partner companies, with virtually all of our manufactured products meeting their strict standards for being safe from harmful chemicals.
